To achieve CGAPUCA accreditation—backed by DARC (Africa) and BIHEB (QAHE/BSQ-recognized)—institutions must meet these key standards:

• Ethical governance structure with qualified leadership
• Financial stability and sustainable resource management
2. Academic Quality & Faculty Standards
• Curriculum aligned with global/regional benchmarks
• Qualified faculty with relevant degrees and teaching experience
• Regular program reviews and outcome assessments
3. Student Support & Learning Resources
• Adequate infrastructure (libraries, labs, technology)
• Student services (advising, career support, welfare)
• Transparent admission and graduation policies
4. Research & Community Impact
• Evidence of research output or industry collaboration
• Community engagement initiatives
5. Compliance & Continuous Improvement
• Adherence to DARC/BIHEB quality frameworks
• Internal quality assurance mechanisms
• Commitment to periodic reviews (e.g., 5-year reaccreditation)
6. Documentation & Evaluation
• Submission of self-study reports
• Successful completion of peer reviews and site visits

Accreditation Process

Accreditation Proccess

1. Institutional Accreditation
Evaluates the entire university/college against CGAPUCA’s standards (aligned with DARC Africa and BIHEB). Covers governance, faculty, infrastructure, and student outcomes.

2. Programmatic Accreditation
Focuses on specific degree programs (e.g., Engineering, Business) to ensure they meet industry and global benchmarks (via QAHE/BSQ recognition).

3. Provisional Accreditation
A preliminary status for new institutions, valid for 1–2 years, requiring proof of foundational compliance before full evaluation.

4. Full Accreditation
The highest tier of recognition, awarded after rigorous audits (including DARC/BIHEB reviews), renewable every 5 years.

5. Global Partnership Accreditation
For institutions seeking international collaboration, leveraging CGAPUCA’s BIHEB-backed global standards (recognized by QAHE/BSQ).

 

Accreditation Agreement Details

CGAPUCA Accreditation Agreement

This agreement ("Agreement") is made between the CGAPUCA Council for Global Accreditation of Private Universities & Colleges Association ("Accreditor") and [Institution Name] ("Institution") for the purpose of granting accreditation status.

1. Accreditation Details

    • Regional: DEI Africa Research Center (DARC) (Registration No: D0174)
